North Jetty

However, you can still thoroughly enjoy parts of Ocean Shore Beach by heading down to the North Jetty. It took nine years to build but they finished the jetty in 1916, and it has withheld the test of time. The North Jetty helped stabilize the Ocean Shores shoreline and has resulted in subsequent beach build up over the last century. You’ll also have access to shallow shorelines, which are excellent for dipping your toes in the water. Or, you can watch the humongous waves crash onshores safely from the top of the jetty.

Ocean City State Park

You’ll find a gem of a beach at Ocean City State Park, which is less than a mile from Ocean Shores. An excellent place for beach explorations and birding, Ocean City State Park will sate your need for a day-trip escapade. Plus, you have the perfect location for that romantic walk on the beach at sunset you always wanted.
